This was the first ICF-to-the-roof home we built: a three-storey duplex with two levels of living space on each side, plus a walkout basement apartment/suite. Without initially setting out to meet a specific target, the project achieved Step 3 performance and became an important turning point in our understanding of energy efficiency in construction.

It was this build that sparked a deeper focus on energy performance and evolving building regulations. From that point forward, every home we’ve built has been designed and constructed to Step 5 standards or higher.
